- In the Workflow tab under whichever section the discussion is to be created for, click on the Add discussion button
- The editor checks the box next to the names of all participants in the discussion.
- The editor enters a subject and message.
- If necessary, files can be attached by clicking Upload File:
- Then, in the drop-down menu, select the Article Component.
- Click Upload File and select the desired file from the local drive.
- Click Continue.
- On the Review Details screen, clicking Continue.
- On the Confirm screen, clicking Complete.
- The editor clicks OK to add the discussion message.
Note: participants in the discussion will get an automated email from OJS saying that they have been added to a discussion for X submission. It will include the subject line of the discussion and a link to the discussion - no other information is included.
